Houston, TX – KHOU 11 reports three pedestrians were killed in two separate incidents.
At approximately 10 p.m., a Chrysler sedan was traveling eastbound on FM 1960 in Harris County, Texas when it struck and killed two pedestrians. Minutes later, a Jeep traveling westbound on FM 1960 struck and killed another pedestrian. The driver of the Jeep did not stop.
Police are continuing their investigation.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 6,205 pedestrians were killed in 2019 or one person was killed every 85 minutes. As a driver, follow these tips to avoid or prevent being involved in an auto-pedestrian accident:
- Always look out for pedestrians
- Exercise caution when driving at night or during inclement weather
- Never drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Yield at crosswalks
- Don't speed
- Never pass stopped vehicles at a crosswalk
- Slow down in high foot traffic areas
