Innocent Motorist Killed in Wrong-Way Driving Accident

Posted by Jimmy Sunosky | Sep 07, 2020 | 0 Comments

On September 5, 2020, a man driving to work on the Grand Parkway in Houston, TX was hit head-on by another driver driving the wrong way.

Montgomery County officials investigated the accident and determined a SUV was driving westbound in the eastbound lane when the horrific accident occurred.

Also involved in the accident was a Fed-Ex truck that crashed into both vehicles.  It's unknown if the Fed-Ex truck caused or contributed to the death of the innocent motorist.  Montgomery County officials are continuing to investigate the crash.

Proving the Other Driver's Fault for a Car Crash

If you were injured or lost a loved one in a car crash, you and your family can seek financial compensation for your injuries and losses.  However, before doing so, you will have to prove the other driver was at fault.

Fault of the other driver can be shown as follows:

  • Crash reports: Following a serious accident, officers will investigate the accident.  They will give their perspective of how the accident occurred.  Their version of events could help your case.  In some cases, their analyses could be wrong.

  • Photographs:  Photos can help establish the cause of the accident.  Photos of the accident scene, vehicle damage, skid and tire marks, etc. can show how the accident occurred.

  • Video:  Videos from traffic cameras or gas stations, video from an in-dash surveillance camera, a passerby who happened to record the events or a news crew can help document the scene.  This potentially valuable evidence can show how the events occurred.

  • Eyewitness statements:  Anyone who might have witnessed the accident, including passengers, can be valuable.  An experienced car accident attorney can help you encourage people to speak on your behalf.

An experienced Houston, TX car crash attorney can help you obtain additional information to prove the other driver's fault.  For example, cell phone records, post-accident drug tests, and internal company investigations are a few things that can help further prove the fault of the other driver.  The top-rated Houston, TX Car Crash Attorneys at Hernandez Redden Sunosky, LLP can help you obtain this valuable evidence to support your case.
