Highlands, TX - KHOU 11 reported an elderly man was killed in a two car accident on Sunday in Highlands, TX which is located in east Harris County, TX. The accident occurred around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Garth Road and Barbers Hill Road.

It was reported the surviving driver attempted to flee the scene but was taken into custody.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
